Addiction Does Not Discriminate. Neither Should Recovery.

Be the Change Recovery did not begin as a strategy. It began as a lived reality. Addiction shaped both of our lives in very different ways. For Triple X, addiction grew out of early trauma and survival patterns that evolved into crime, incarceration, relapse, and decades of instability. For years, achievement and collapse existed side by side. Success on the surface did not protect against internal erosion.

For Dr. Julia Morris, addiction shaped life from the outside. Her mother died as a result of addiction. Her first husband struggled with addiction. She witnessed the cost of addiction through grief, caregiving, and rebuilding. While she did not suffer from addiction personally, she lived inside its impact.

Two different perspectives.

One shared conviction.

Addiction crosses every boundary. Recovery must be just as accessible.

Recovery is rented, not owned. Rent is due every day.

There was a point where we both recognized something critical.

Recovery cannot be treated as an accessory to life.

It cannot be squeezed into the margins while everything else takes priority.

Recovery must become the foundation.

We stopped building recovery around life and started building life around recovery.

That shift changed everything.

Recovery is rented daily. The rent is paid through structure, humility, discipline, and consistent action. When that payment stops, instability begins to grow.

This movement is not about intensity. It is about consistency.

Lived Experience Meets Clinical Structure

Be the Change Recovery exists at the intersection of lived experience and rehabilitation science.

Triple X brings the perspective of someone who has lived relapse, incarceration, collapse, and reconstruction.

Dr. Julia Morris brings the perspective of a Doctor of Occupational Therapy who understands how daily systems, routines, and structured environments restore stability after disruption.

Together, we believe sustainable recovery requires both personal responsibility and functional restoration.

Recovery is not only emotional healing,

it is rebuilding how a person lives every day.

For Individuals and Families

Addiction does not only impact the person using substances. It impacts spouses, parents, children, and entire systems.

This movement is for:

• Individuals rebuilding identity

• Families seeking clarity and boundaries

• Treatment centers reinforcing accountability

• Communities committed to long-term stability

No ideology is required.

No background disqualifies you.

Only willingness.

What We Believe

We believe:

Recovery is rented, not owned. Rent is due every day.

Discipline protects stability.

Responsibility replaces rationalization.

Identity can be rebuilt. This is not a performance. It is a practice.

Structure creates freedom.

This is not a performance. It is a practice.
